This tool is a must have for any snap user. And its best to have 2 or 3 just in case you loose one. This awl makes it so much easier to get snaps through any material.

I love my awl and use it often for setting snaps as well as many other craft projects. It is much sharper than other awls I have bought from other companies and I appreciate that feature. The metal pointy part does come detached from the white base often however... I should probably crazy glue it one day since this is a little dangerous.

I resisted buying this at first, but gave in when I realized how clumsy simply shoving the snap through the fabric was...Bought it & love it!

the handle of the white plastic version I recieved, not the nice wood one in the picture, snapped in half the second time I used it Response from KAMsnaps.com: If a defective awl was received, just send an email letting us know and we'll be happy to replace it. The description does state that the actual awl may vary from the one pictured. In fact, the newer version with the white plastic handle is significantly sturdier than the wooden one previously pictured, which is why we switched.

I was a little disappointed because my awl was white plastic, and not the nice wooden one in the picture, but it still works great! Great for poking holes in stuff. :)

I got an owl to use with my snap pliers and it works really well. Its very sharp, so watch your fingers but it goes through most fabrics with ease.

Thie is a great tool. Makes the job so much easier and faster. Just be careful, cause it does not feel good if you stick yourself with it.
