Star caps are slightly larger than size 20 round caps, so you will need a star cap die for your pliers. For presses, some people have been able to squeeze the star into the same die as the round size 20 cap, but we cannot guarantee this will work for you so please consider purchasing a star cap die for your press.  Dies are available here.

 

Star caps can be used with various size sockets and studs. They are most commonly used with size 20 sockets and studs, but you can also use them with size 16/14 or size 22 sockets and studs.  We offer complete star sets using size 20 sockets & studs below.

 

Star snaps are available in the following sets:

  • Star caps Only ($3.50) - 100 star caps in a single color.
  • Complete Sets ($6.75) - 100 complete sets in a single color. This includes 100 star caps, 100 round caps, 100 studs, and 100 sockets, all in the same color.

I purchased star snaps to use on my diapers. But where I'd use a standard snap, the star snaps consistently pulled off. Not sure if the prong is shorter but I wasn't able to get them as secure as the standard rous snaps.

I bought both the star and heart snaps for cutesy stuffs I can make. Specifically for my baby girl's nursery. But I was very surprised that i ended up using it for more than just that. the star snaps goes with almost anything! I do wish they had longer prongs. I'm trying to add snaps to the straps of my backpack carrier. But all in all, iw ould definitely purchse this again. And Im getting several colors, instead of the staple pink for my lil girl
