Pronged Studs

There are 100 pcs in each pack. You'll need a press with a special die to install these. Pliers won't work unfortunately.
Pronged studs are used to make double-sided snaps. So instead of having just 2 sides of a snap to form 1 connection, you can have another snap sandwiched in-between to form 2 connections. You can actually have an infinite number of connections, depending on how many pronged studs you pile on top of each other.
For example, you would normally have:
(cap+socket) attached to (stud+cap)
With the pronged studs, you can now have:
(cap+socket) attached to (stud+pronged stud) attached to (socket+cap)
A stud with prong takes the place of a cap. So instead of having a cap on the bottom die of your press, you would put the pronged stud there, and then attach either a regular socket or stud on top. You will need a special die for your press to use the pronged studs, which you can add by selecting the option from the drop-down menu above or from our Dies section. If using the drop-down menu above, the number of dies added will equal the Qty specified, so if you only need 1 die, be sure the Qty is set to 1.
Note:
KAM Snaps
Our KAM snaps are intended to be used with our pliers for plastic snaps or KAM press dies. We cannot guarantee compatibility if you are using our snaps with other non-KAM products.
Snap Count
Snaps are packaged by weight, so count may not be exact. Also, if you order multiples of a color, we may combine the sets. For example, if you purchase two bags of 100-count studs, we may send you one bag of 200 studs.
Snap Colors
Due to imperfect and natural variations in lighting as well as individual settings of your computer screen, snap colors shown on our website may not be a true reflection of their actual color. If you are unsure of a color, please feel free to inquire. Or you can purchase a color card or snap sample here.
