Painted caps may show wear such as scratching and fading over time, so we don't suggest they be used for items which you plan to resell.  To help in preserving the paint, the manufacturer recommends not using a dryer with these caps. Bleach and other harsh chemicals should also be avoided.  We do not recommend painted caps for diapers or other articles that go through extreme wear and tear and which are subject to frequent washes.

Some have suggested that the caps be coated with a clear acrylic nail polish to better seal the paint, but we have not tested this.
