Shipping & Returns

Return Policy
In order to keep prices as low as possible, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges at this time.  All sales are final so please double-check your order before submitting.
On occasion, we may accept a return or exchange as a 1-time courtesy. In such cases, there will be a restocking fee. If your order qualified for free shipping, original shipping charges we incurred to ship the returned product(s) to you will also be deducted from your refund.

If you have any questions about an item, please feel free to ask and we will do our best to help you out so that you understand what you are ordering.  If we have made a mistake with your order or you have received a defective product, please let us know so we can rectify it as soon as possible.  You will be asked to return the incorrect/defective item at our cost and upon receipt of return, we will ship the correct/replacement item to you.

Shipping Policy
We are happy to ship to most countries.  Our shopping cart supports orders from most countries.  If you do not see your country listed, please send an email to sales(at)kamsnaps.com.  We are unable to ship to a few countries, and some countries not listed will incur an additional shipping charge.

We currently offer free shipping* on US orders of $29+ and discounted shipping options worldwide. *Excludes price-matching and where specified otherwise.  See below for more details.

 

Shipping Costs

Snap Presses:
Most orders are shipped by USPS (post office), but some US and Canada orders may ship by Fedex Ground at our discretion.  International press orders may ship in multiple packages.  If purchasing a snap press to be shipped outside of the US, be sure to select "Canada" or "Other" as the Ship-to Country when prompted.  This will add the appropriate shipping charges for the press.

Pliers, dies & snaps added to press orders ship at no additional charge but may be sent in a separate package.

Effective 6/8/2013: Free shipping will no longer be offered to Canada, as were are unable to continue to absorb the high cost of shipping internationally. However, for a limited time, we will offer discounted international shipping.

Many of the shipping rates are discounted. In many cases, actual shipping costs are higher than what we charge.

Where does my order ship from?
Most orders are shipped from California within the United States.  Large special orders may ship directly from our factory in China for expediency and cost optimization.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?
We strive very hard to ship orders out within 2 business days and usually within 1 business day, but ocassionally it may take longer.
Orders under 1lb, such as for a small quantity of snaps, ship by first class mail, which generally take about a week for delivery within the US and 3-6 weeks internationally.   Orders shipped by priority mail usually takes approx 3-4 days for delivery within the US and generally 1-6 weeks internationally. Please note that customs can delay international deliveries.

Note that delivery times are estimated but can actually take longer as USPS does not guarantee delivery times of first class, priority mail, or international express mail.  If you are in a rush to receive your order, you may upgrade to USPS Express mail at an additional cost. Note that Express mail within the US generally takes 2-3 business days for delivery in addition to our normal processing times. Express mail internationally generally takes 1-2 weeks.

I haven't received my order yet. What do I do?
Please contact us if you are within the US and do not receive your order within 10 business days from payment, or if you are an international customer and have not received your order within 6 weeks. Please note, however, that because USPS does not guarantee delivery times for packages other than express mail, there is a mandatory waiting period of 48 business days before a lost package claim can be filed with the post office.

Is there a tracking number for my package?
Most packages will not come with tracking numbers, unless you upgrade to Express shipping.  All US packages will have a delivery confirmation number. See below for more info regarding tracking vs delivery confirmation.

Please note that most international packages usually do not have delivery confirmation.Table-top snap presses will have delivery confirmation. Most other packages may not have any scans at all, and generally when they do, the last scan will be at the point where the package leaves the US (usually Los Angeles, CA where there is a major international airport).

What is the difference between tracking and delivery confirmation?
Only Express Mail will have true tracking, which will show scans at every point of the delivery route.  Delivery confirmations are intended only to confirm the time and location of delivery.  Some delivery confirmation numbers may show additional scans enroute but that is solely at the discretion of the postal employees who handle the package and is not the ultimate purpose of delivery confirmations.  For learn more about the differences between tracking and delviery confirmation numbers, visit USPS.com.

Are packages insured?
Most packages are insured against loss or damage.  For non-delivery, there is a 30-day mandatory waiting period before an insurance claim can be filed for packages shipped within the US.  The mandatory waiting period is 6 weeks for most international and APO/FPO shipments.  Shipments to Italy require a 60-day wait.  All claims must be filed within 90 days of shipment date, and you must submit a signed statement of non-receipt or damage.  If the statement is not submitted in a timely manner, your insurance claim may be denied.  Click

Customs / Duties / Brokerage / Other
You may be required to pay applicable customs/duties/brokerage or other import-related fees depending on your country's import regulations.  This is beyond our control.  Please check with your country's customs regulations and the shipping carrier's policies if you are unsure whether you will be subject to additional fees. 

If we ship your package and you later choose not to pay the applicable customs/duties and instead choose to abandon your package, you will not receive a refund.
