How to Install Grommets using a KAM Press - Test Version 1.0 These instructions apply only to version 1.0 grommets and grommet dies.
The 2 parts of a grommet.
Version 1.0 grommets may include both even and uneven washers, as shown below. The uneven washers have off-centered center holes and should be discarded. We have included extra washers to compensate for this.
The washer has a rough, somewhat sharp side and a smooth side. The smooth side faces DOWN in the die.
The eyelet goes in the top die. The washer goes in the bottom die.
The dies are magnetized so the eyelet will stay in place even when it is hanging upside down.
Hold your fabric between the dies and press down firmly. Results may vary so test on scrap fabric several times first!
The eyelet will pierce the fabric and attach to the washer, as shown.
