How to Convert a Drill Press to a Snap Press
If you've got a drill press sitting around unused, you can modify it to a snap press. This will save you the expense of investing in a professional table-top snap press. You will still need a die set for the snaps you want to install. The DK98 model with the smooth shank at the base of each die is recommended. Most drill presses will accept the smooth shank of the top (socket & stud) dies in their open chucks. Then you make the holder for the bottom cap die using a piece of wood.
