KAM press dies are *not* compatible with most other brands of snaps or presses. Please note that sales are final.

Dies may have traces of oil, rust, and general "goo" from the manufacturing process and may not look "pretty". This is how they come to us, and we have no control over it. We recommend you wipe them down prior to use as well as attach a few snaps on discard fabric to clean the dies out. Dies made of metal can be lightly oiled to prevent rusting.
In most cases, you will need a different set of dies for each type, style and size of snaps. Dies for plastic snaps will not work for metal snaps, and dies for one style and/or size of metal snaps will generally not work with another style and/or size of metal snaps.

Notes about Dies for Plastic Snaps

Size 20 & Star
|

We offer 2 different size 20 cap dies: one that fits just round caps, and one that is ever so slightly larger and fits both round caps and star caps.

Size 14 & 16 |

Plastic snaps in sizes 14 and 16 have the identical sockets and the identical studs--only the caps are different. So if you already own a die set for one of those sizes, you may use the socket die and stud die for both sizes. All you need is a separate cap die.

Extended Lip |

Dies for size 20 plastic sockets and studs also come in an extended lip version (see photo below). The extended lip allows the snap piece to sit more securely in the die and can better accomodate minor variances in snap molds. The extended lip socket die is recommended for size 20 clear socket pieces, which have a slightly larger center mouth, if your existing die does not hold the socket in place adequately. Most users do not require the extended lip dies.
