Please note that "GF" pliers and parts have been discontinued, so if you are ordering die parts, you will most likely receive parts intended for the "HG" model. I have been a fan of KAM SNAPS for a while and completely LOVE their products. I was having the same issue with the new rubber head for the new dies, so I emailed Judy and she promptly responsed and sent me to this link for find the answer. Thanks Judy! Makes a more sense now. Now that I have the old rubber head back on, Loving the new dies!!! Thanks Kam Snaps =D

Pos---centers the cap easier, pressing isn't as strained...
Neg---VERY hard to place cap/part between pliers to squeeze. I use long pronged snaps so it makes the pliers unuseable with new dies... Boo to that!

(KAMsnaps: Please refer to the note on our blog. If using "GF" pliers, the new dies are not recommended for long prong snaps.)

I love the new style die for snap pliers. I was having trouble applying the sockets with the old die that wouldn't come off but the new die seems to have solved that problem.

The new dies are wonderful. I did have some issues with the rubber stopper being too big, but after reading the blog post I just went back to the old black rubber stopper. I enjoy that the snap is help firmly in the die and no longer wiggles. Makes snapping a breeze.

This set is just OK in my opinion because while the dies do fit the size snaps perfectly (especially nice for the usual diaper size 20) the die itself is taller than the previous kind. This makes the new rubber pressing head impossible to use with the new die because you can't fit it around the snap. I have to use my old rubber pressing head w/ the new die and it's still a tight fit.

(KAMsnaps: If you are using "GF" pliers, you need to cut a piece off the white rubber head to make the rubber shorter, thereby increasing your clearance.)

These new dies make centering the cap very easy! The only problem is that I find that they could do with a little more clearance, as I find it takes some fiddling to get the fabric/snaps in between the die and the pressing head. (only a single layer of fabric too) I don't know if you could safely trim the pressing head to fix the problem? Other than this issue they do a great job!

I bought not one, but two sets of the replacement dies for the pliers.. one for me and one for a gift to my sister who I recently turned on to your products. Centering the snaps is much easier and I appreciate you taking the time to find a solution to a previously tricky problem. I am truly a fan of KAM!

VERY disappointed. the higher design size makes it so you can't get the snap between them. you REALLY have to fight to get even thin material and regular snap into pliers.

I just got these in the mail today and I love it! I swapped the size 20 out right away with the new style and applied some snaps. It was so much easier and no more lining things up. This is great I let the ladies on the cloth diaper sewing blog on babycenter know that you have a better updated version of the dies :) Thank You

I'm a big fan of the newer kind. I bought my pliers, and a set of these at the same time. Just to try them both out, I used the "original" kind first, it was a bit of a pain. I use size 20 snaps, and it was irritating to have the cap not sit secure. The newer cap holds the size 20 wonderfully! No sliding. The rubber head is slightly tilted. Also, with how it is taller, it is impossible to change the die with the rubber head on. You have to take out the rubber head "bar", put in the die, then put on the rubber head. All worth it for the better fit if you ask me.

the pliers I bought are great and easy to use, not hard on the hands at all. the only thing i don't like about them is the dies make it hard to position the snaps.
